We are getting my daughter her first show lamb this week. Since we haven't picked it, I don't know the weight. They are March lambs. What feed would you recamend we start with. The breeder said they feed a mix made at their co-op, so I don't really know much about it. We have heard great things about your feed. Could you please let us know what in your line we should start with and why? Thanks--

I would start with Max Start 90 (pellet), a great grow ration that you can us up to 90# or so, then start incorporating Show Lamb textured feed up to around 115# then transition to mostly Show Lamb. At this point start adding 2 to 4 ozs. of HIGH GLO top dress per feeding and if you still need some condition continue with some Max Start 90 or add some Shine-em-up. Also great to add when you get started with your exercise program to keep the condition desired. Hope this helps you get started. Remember every animal is different and can not all be fed the same.
Thanks

| This is our first year using high noon feeds. I am using max start 90 right now. Our lambs weigh around 60 # the brochure says to feed up to 50 # but some of the other post say to feed up to around 100 #. The brochure also says to feed up to 1.5lbs per head per day is that the right ration for bigger lambs also. We have been using a small coffee can to musure feed it holds about 1.25 lbs of feed i have been giving each lamb 2.5 lbs per day plus a hand full of hay is that to much. I would like your feed back. Thankyou.

HighNoon Feeds line up of creep feeds is outstanding, Max Start 90, Max Start Plus, and Oklahoma Mix. Max Start 90 works well to grow your lambs and put on the right amount of condition. Please watch limit feeding at 50 to 60# which may set your lamb back from reaching there potential. At this weight I would feed what the lambs will clean up and a hand full of grass hay at each feeding along with all the clean fresh water they want. If you have a harder doing lamb and need more condition I like Shine-em-up top dress to add energy and fat to the diet. If you like the textured Show Lamb you can mix it to the Max Start 90 and start feeding earlier than 90# but we have seen great result with 90 to 90#. Remember to keep your lambs healthy and you'll love the result you get.
Call me if you have more specific question to your situation.
Thanks Mike
