We just sheared one of our lambs today and he is a little fatter then we thought. He is getting 3.5lbs of show lamb feed and 6oz of high glo a day. There are 22 days till fair. What should we do? I don't want to loose the nice big top he has right now. He is looking good but might have too much over the rib for this judge. Thanks
What I would do is change from the HIgh glo to the Orig glo. and feed 6 oz morning and night and cut the showlamb back to 3 lbs a day. The orig glo will burn fat and firm the lamb very fast. The High glo does just what you said, it helps put in a big top. You are right on track it sounds.
